The annual grape harvest took place on September 13th. This time a bit earlier than planned, but it was high time to bring in the grapes. The late summer rain and hail had quite an impact on the vines. The harvest was therefore not as plentiful as usual, with 500 liters of red and 750 liters of white grapes. However, the Oechsle degrees of 93 and 91 suggest good quality once again. As always, we are curious to see what our winemaker will create from them!
Many thanks again to all the helpers for stepping in on short notice. Thanks also to Kirsten W. and her kitchen assistants, who, as always, provided an excellent breakfast and a hearty potato soup, which was very well received. Here are a few photos for illustration.
